In the global crude oil refinery projects, 416 upcoming projects are expected to start operations from 2021 to 2025. Of these, 93 represent new build projects and 323 are expansions of existing projects. Globally, about 220 upcoming refinery projects are in the construction stage and likely to start operations from 2021 to 2025. Jidong I, Jidong II, and Jidong III are announced gas storage facilities, expected to start operations in the years 2023, 2025, and 2030, respectively. China National Petroleum Corp is the operator as well as 100% equity stakeholder of these depleted oil and gas filed type facilities. Jidong III has a working gas capacity of 159 bcf, while Jidong I and Jidong II have capacities of 58 bcf and 30 bcf, respectively. The total expected capital expenditure of Jidong III, Jidong I, and Jidong II is $2,626 million, $991 million, and $467 million, respectively.

Gazli III

Gazli III is an announced gas storage facility, expected to start operations in 2024 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Co will be the operator and a 100 percent equity stakeholder of this project. This depleted oil and gas field has a total capital expenditure of $486 million and a working gas capacity of 141.2 bcf.

Damaslawek

Damaslawek is an announced gas storage project, expected to start operations by 2026 in Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Poland. This salt cavern-type facility is expected to have a total capex of $437.8 million and a working gas capacity of 28.3 bcf. Gaz-System SA will be the operator and a 100 percent equity stakeholder of this project.

Hackberry

Hackberry is an announced salt cavern-type gas storage project, being planned in Louisiana, US, and is expected to commence operations by 2024. This project is expected to have a total capex of $403 million. Sempra LNG & Midstream LLC is the operator, while Sempra Energy is the 100 percent equity holder of the project.

Jidong IV

Jidong IV is an announced gas storage project in Hebei, China. China National Petroleum Corp will be the operator as well as a 100 percent equity stakeholder in this project.
